Founded in 1871, the museum was moved to the present Neoclassical building in 1901, where many rare and precious finds are displayed that tell the whole story of the Etruscan civilization that inhabited the lands of the village of Chiusi for a long time. It is a very large museum that extends over two floors and includes many permanent and temporary exhibitions. Among the permanent exhibits, visitors will find printed decorations, statues and inscriptions made of sulfur stones, as well as coffins and urns made of clay and alabaster, among others.
