Founded in 1892, the Exel Museum of Fine Arts presents an extensive panorama of Belgian art in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Alfauves, Expressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Construction and Abstraction. This collection is complemented by a group of Flemish artists and some representatives of foreign art schools. The museum owns a collection of works donated by the painter and collector Edmond de Prattery and the Belgian artist Octave Mouse. It reopened in December 2019.
