Jabal Tabor is the highest mountain in the southern part of the Lower Galilee, north of Marj Ibn Amer in Palestine. Its height is about 588 meters above sea level, and the summit of the mountain is clear and viewers can see it from distant places such as the Galilee and the Golan. There are three villages located on the slopes of the mountain - the largest of them are Daburia (located on the western slope of the mountain), Shibli (located on the eastern slope of the mountain) and Umm Al-Ghanam (located on the southeast slope of the mountain). And on top of the mountain there are two wonderful historic churches. According to the Christian religion, the Mount of Tour or Tabor is the site of the transfiguration of Christ, when some of his disciples ascended on the top of the high mountain, and there Jesus was transfigured to his disciples Peter, Jacob and John.
