King Alfonso I the Fighter was the fourth king of the small kingdom of Aragon, who conquered the Muslim city of Sarcosta in the twelfth century, and also turned one of the main cities in Andalusia into a Christian city, and his monument is located on a stone base 8.5 meters long surrounded by a beautiful pond. Its height is 6.5 meters and there is also a bronze lion next to it. On the occasion of the eighth centenary of the restoration of Zaragoza in 1923, this huge marble statue was erected, and four years later, the accompanying bronze lion was installed.
