The 1300 Years Monument of Bulgaria, also known as the Monument to the Founders of the Bulgarian State, is a large monument built on a plateau above the city of Shumen in Bulgaria. It was built in 1981 to commemorate and commemorate the 1300th anniversary of the First Bulgarian Empire. One of the city's most prominent landmarks and one of its most famous symbols, it can be seen from about 18 miles away, at nearly 1,500 feet above sea level, and hovers over the entire city of Shumen.
