The Columbus Monument is a sculptural group located in the Portal de la Paz square in Barcelona, Spain, and was built in memory of the famous explorer Christopher Columbus. This vertical structure is located at the intersection of La Rambla and Columbus Pass, in front of Barcelona's Old Port. It is also distinguished by its wonderful sculptural and decorative style, and is considered one of the most important and most famous symbols and icons in Spain. Inside this column there is an elevator that allows tourists to climb to the hemisphere under the feet of the statue, where the beautiful view of the city.
