The Mill City Museum was established in 2003 on the ruins of the famous wheat mill Washburn, which is located on the banks of the Mississippi River, and the museum works on documenting the history and growth of the flour industry and other local industries based on hydroelectric power. The museum includes many sites that include the ruins of mills that were used in the seventies of the nineteenth century.
