MetLife is a 59-storey skyscraper in downtown Manhattan in New York City, an ancient building built in 1960 to be the headquarters of American International Airlines at the time. Where ancient and modern details meet at the same time, you find giant glass facades, and at the same time you find stone details designed in the wonderful Gothic style. This combination of the nobility of the past and the modernity of the present makes it a truly impressive landmark. Although it is an old building, it is still on the list of the 100 tallest buildings in the United States.
