Mount Merkur is a very tall mountain with a height of about 668 meters above sea level in the northern region of the Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The top of the mountain can be reached in two ways, and each way is full of excitement and adventure. Route 1, the longest funicular in Germany where the mountaintop can be reached by the steepest and most technical horizontal railway in Europe in less than 6 minutes, Route 2, If you don't want an exciting rail journey, you can go along Fabulous footpath. Once you arrive, there is a free elevator up to the Mercury Tower, taking you to the 23-meter viewing platform, for a total height of 700 metres. There you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view from the Baden-Baden basin, to the highest mountains in the northern Black Forest and the Morgittal Valley, and you can even see the Upper Rhine plain.
