Information about Medinet Habu
Medinet Habu Temple is one of the largest memorial temples in Egypt, with a length of 320 meters (from east to west) and about 200 meters in width (from north to south). After the death of Ramses III, the temple was built to commemorate his memory, as the huge structure is surrounded by a mud wall. This building consists of a huge gate decorated with scenes of battles depicting the wars of the king in Syria, and to the right there is a mausoleum dating back to the Eighteenth Dynasty. There is also a wide open court that leads to two huge towers, where both towers are decorated in battle scenes. Do not hesitate and visit it with your family and friends and enjoy learning about the ancient and rich Egyptian history.
