The Museum of Medical History is located in the old historic stone house of Oterdahlska, which was used as a hospital in 1823-1854. In this museum you can read about the history of health and diseases, and how to treat them over the years. The discoveries led to both advances and setbacks, as science opposed culture and tradition. The collections on display consist of tools, equipment, furniture, and textiles from the 18th century onwards. The exhibition is also built around different themes, with the aim of presenting the general history of medicine from antiquity to the present time.
