The Alt Wacht House Museum in St. Johann is one of the last remaining historic dams in the state of Salzburg. The building, a listed building, has been used as a branch of the Valley Museum since 2001. The museum building is characterized by being made of wood, as it was made from the woods of the surrounding forests, and in front of the house a suspended wooden bridge connects the house to the foot of the opposite hill.
