The Mausoleum of Mohammed V is located across from the Hassan Tower in Yacoub Al Mansour Square in Rabat. Its construction was completed in 1971. The mausoleum contains the tombs of the Moroccan King and his two sons, Prince Abdullah and the late King Hassan II, who was buried there after his death in 1999. The building is considered a masterpiece of modern architecture, with a pure white facade, topped with a carved green brick that represents the color of Islam, and the reader of the Noble Qur’an is often present in it, and has his designated seat.
