This mausoleum contains the tomb of Cesare Battisti, an Austrian citizen, geographer and socialist politician, who emerged at the beginning of World War I when he held public meetings demanding Italy to join the forces of the Triple Entente against Austria, and he was a follower of the Italian non-extremism movement aimed at Trentino united with the Kingdom of Italy, and although he was still an Austrian, Battisti fought against the Austro-Hungarian army on the Italian front. He was captured by the Austro-Hungarian army on July 10, 1916 and hanged for high treason on July 12, 1916.
