Information about Marmorbad Museum
In 1728, the Marble Bath was built in Kassel, a distinctive building in the form of a pavilion on a square floor plan. This Baroque building has been converted into an art museum called the Marmorbad Museum, and it includes a group of twelve statues distributed inside the bathroom of characters from ancient myths. Eight dated frescoes appear on all the walls of the museum, and allegorical dome reliefs show representations of the four elements and the four seasons. The museum is considered a milestone in Renaissance architecture.
