The Museum of Maritime History has a very impressive exterior building, which dates back to the seventeenth century and was the seat of the Dutch commissioner in the past. It has now become a Museum of Maritime History in Trincomalee, which displays a large collection of marine artifacts, represented in the cannons that were used on naval ships, and many models of ancient ships and fleets, in addition to many pieces and equipment that make up old ships, artifacts and many more. Of the valuable natural rocks and carvings that were found in the depths of the sea, the museum also includes a part of the fish ponds, which displays various types of strange and beautiful fish species. A place worth visiting.
