The Mariaca Gate, or as it is known as "Mary's Gate", was built in the second half of the fourteenth century AD, and is considered part of the city's defense system, and it is a link between Malbork and the neighboring cities from the south. The Mariaca Gate has a wooden superstructure and is about 10 meters high. This gate was completely destroyed during the Second World War, but was restored in the seventies of the last century; Some of its parts were burnt out in the early 1980s.
