Information about Manarah Square
Al-Manara Roundabout is considered the most lively and famous site in the ancient city of Ramallah, and the reason for its name is due to the fact that it was the site that included a switchboard controlling the city’s lighting during the British Mandate era. The roundabout symbolizes the five families who founded the city of Ramallah, and after the destruction of the original statues in 1982, a new monument was built that includes stone carvings of four lions symbolizing pride and strength. You go through this roundabout.
