It is located in the main square of the city, and was built in Malmö in 1546. The facade we see today was added in the 19th century, when the building was renovated. The Renaissance design of the facade is the work of architect Helgo Zettervall. Also along the front wing are statues of Malmö's historical figures, such as Jürgen Kök, the 16th-century mayor of Malmö, and Frans Sol, an 18th-century Swedish businessman.
