Makronissos Beach, located 5 km to the west of the center of Ayia Napa, is a golden sandy beach, with moderately heavy waves. The beach was originally formed from a group of small bays, and these small bays extend in different directions forming a natural painting. The beach offers a number of distinctive recreational facilities, such as restaurants, cafes, and some shops selling souvenirs to beach visitors.
