The Angra de Heroísmo Museum is located in a former Franciscan monastery from the 17th century, where you can find a collection of cars, ceramics, weapons, medals, coins, navigational instruments, sculptures, paintings, furniture, porcelain and many other interesting historical pieces. In addition to the museum, the monastery also houses the Church of St. Francis, a beautiful example of 18th-century religious architecture, with exquisite woodwork, statues, carvings and tile panels.
