Information about Mae Sariang Museum
Located in the Tambun Mae Sariang district of Mae Hong Son, the Mae Sariang Museum is housed in a building in an architectural form similar to the famous Tai Yai building. It was first opened in November 2006. Its exhibits include paintings related to the activities and customs of the Mae Sariang people, such as the Tan Kao Ya tradition Gu (red sticky rice), Tianheng Kai Wa (Buddhist Lent), prominent cultural and natural landmarks of the region, hero of Muang Yu, city liberator from the Burmese army, teachers of wisdom in the city and more.
