A wonderful church that Christians used to go to for pilgrimages. The church was founded in 1480, rebuilt in 1616, and then renovated in the 19th century. This magnificent church overlooks Lake Maggiore. In it you will find many works of art, most notably an artwork called “Flying to Egypt”, a distinctive painting drawn by the artist Bramantino in 1536. In the church you will also find a small museum with an impressive collection of ecclesiastical art and manuscripts.
