Information about Machu Picchu
The ancient city of the Inca peoples, which means "the summit of the ancient mountain", and this city is confined between two mountains of the famous Andes mountain range. This city was built by the Inca people in the fifteenth century. The city is 2223 meters above sea level. Its length is 600 meters and it is covered with dense forests, while the Ulu Banba River flows below it to paint all these elements a majestic scene of this mysterious city. Located near the Urubamba River, 120 km north of Cusco, this city was inscribed by UNESCO on the World Heritage List in 1983. It is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
