The village of Lukomir is located along the southern hills of Bjelasnica, at an altitude of 1495 metres, thus it is the highest and only inhabited settlement in Bosnia and Herzegovina over 1,300 metres. The village is characterized by its unique natural composition that is evergreen, where hills and plains are abundant, and on the tops of these hills sit 30 wooden huts, some of which are inhabited and some of them are newly built. In the spring, this spot turns into a green, natural paradise that attracts nature lovers from all over the country, who come to seek the generous reception offered by the villagers, who are distinguished by their hospitality and generosity.
