The Los Memorial Church is located on the campus of Tonghai University in Taichung and is considered one of the most remarkable buildings of 20th century architecture around the world. Despite the church's relatively small size, the architects were able to apply common engineering techniques to make its structure earthquake-resistant as well as wind- and heat-resistant. Another unusual feature is the curvature of the building's exterior, allowing the walls to function as columns and rafters at the same time. The church is a destination for many tourists around the world, and for the people of the city in general, to hold some special religious rituals for them.
