One of the most picturesque festivals in Bangkok is the Evening (Loi Krathong), where people gather around lakes, rivers and canals to pay homage to the water goddess by launching beautiful lotus-shaped rafts decorated with candles, incense and flowers on the water. Every year, on the night of the twelfth lunar month, usually in November, at the end of the rainy season when the full moon shines in the sky. The sight of candles and thousands of dots of lights in the distance on the horizon is a truly magical location.
