The Lower Saxony State Museum, located in front of the new town hall building, is one of the most important museums that includes a wide variety of exhibits, as it contains exhibitions of paintings and sculptures dating back to the Middle Ages, and there is a special section for archeology and another for natural history, in addition to Aquarium, which includes more than 2,000 species of fish, reptiles and amphibians.
