Lot's Cave is an archaeological site located south of the Dead Sea and near the village of Ghor al-Safi. It consists of a partly natural and partly man-made cave, and a Byzantine monastery complex dating back to the seventh century AD, in which remains can be seen dating back to the early Bronze Age (3300-2000 BC), and inside the cave there is an inscription that mentions the name of Lot, hence the name of the cave.
