Built to honor the memory of California soldiers who died in World War I, this museum displays a collection of ancient and European art dating back more than 4,000 years in gorgeous hilltop surroundings, such as works by Rodin, Monet, and other 19th-century landscape painters. Audio guides are available on tours in a number of different languages, general admission tickets start at $10 for adults, and children 17 and under can enter for free.
