The Laurentius Church was built in the first half of the 19th century in Kuressaare, and opened on November 29, 1836. There were two former churches on the same site, the first destroyed in the Great Northern War and the second burnt to the ground in 1828 in a fire that broke out as a result of a lightning strike. The church is distinguished by the beauty of its architecture, and it is also rich in history, so do not miss it.
