The Latin American Monument is a cultural center designed by the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in 1989. It extends over a wide area of more than 84,000 square meters, where the space includes a group of buildings arranged close to each other, including the Victor Civita Latin Library, which includes more than 30,000 titles and books, and the Brazilian Center for Latin Studies. While the square includes a group of famous architectural sculptures, including the Niemeyer sculpture, which represents a large hand painted red, which is considered a symbol of freedom.
