One of Helsinki's most prominent monuments, this monument represents Laren Brasky, a poetic woman from nearby Ingri, who devoted her life to oral poetry, whose Finnish epic poems were inspired by famous artists including Sibelius. Larin was a central figure in Finnish folk poetry and Karelian culture, and this realistic bronze statue was published in Hakkasalmi Park in 1949 in Helsinki.
