This lake is named after the town of St. Moritz in which it is located. It is a medium-sized lake with an area of 0.78 square kilometers. And it is frozen most of the year, and during that period a lot of activities are held, including polo matches, and the participants use a red ball that is larger and lighter than that used in regular polo matches, in order to be seen more clearly on the ice. The snow is very thick in winter and bears the weight of cars, horses and people. This lake is said to be the place where the new sport of skating was invented.
