Lake Herta is a picturesque lake on the island of Rügen. It is 170 meters long, 140 meters wide, covers an area of 0.202 square kilometers, and has a maximum depth of 11 metres. The lake is located in the middle of Jasmond National Park and the famous chalk cliffs. At the bridge, the lake features a Slavic hill fort called Hertaberg With a height of 17 meters, it was built and inhabited between the eighth and twelfth centuries.
