The Kyoto Imperial Palace is considered one of the most important monuments in Kyoto. It was the residence of the Japanese Emperor during the nineteenth century. It was rebuilt in 1855 AD after being burnt. It is located inside the Kyoto Imperial Garden. It is surrounded by many gardens in addition to the halls and buildings belonging to the palace. Where the members of the emperor's family lived, and tourists can see the palace from the outside and wander in its gardens.
