The Kykkos Monastery is located in the mountainous region of Nicosia, and is the richest and most luxurious on the island, located on the top of a mountain at an altitude of 1,318 meters. The monastery was distinguished by its luxurious design, which was different from the rest of the monasteries in the country, with open external yards, and internal ones filled with decorations, inscriptions and arches. The monastery building includes a chapel, a museum, and some other distinctive facilities that still maintain their splendor to this day.
