The museum is housed in a building created specifically to display the enormous Hapsburg family art collections, an art collection collected through the eras when the family ruled the country. The Dutch museum's huge collection includes the world's largest collection of artworks by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. There is a huge collection of Greek, Roman, classical and Egyptian paintings and artworks, in addition to many works of Italian Renaissance style, some Baroque sculptures, and many more. The museum offers daily guided tours.
