Savonlinna is 29 minutes away and is a popular tourist attraction because it tells the history of one of Finland's bloodiest wars. This was the war against Russia in the years between 1944 and 1950. This landmark is considered one of the ground forts built by the army to protect against enemy attacks, and it is a distinguished fortress as it is completely dug underground, and thus was not visible to enemy aircraft.
