This erected monument reflects the experience and sacrifices that the Singaporean people went through in order to be able to live in dignity. World War I and II killed nearly 1.7 million soldiers in defense of their homeland. This edifice and cemetery were built in their memory. A visit to the place will reflect to you the experience of the ancestors of that region and the courage of its people, in addition to the long way the people have traveled to reach the highest types of civilization.
