Koski Mehmet Pasha Mosque is an ancient mosque located in the heart of the city of Mostar. It was built by a wealthy Muslim merchant who owned a fleet of ships to trade with India, China, Yemen and Persia. The delegation built it in the seventeenth century at a time when Muslim merchants were the richest merchants of the Indian Ocean. The mosque is characterized by its unique architecture that combines the Indian and Andalusian styles, and is characterized by being very wide and extending over several floors.
