King Mongkut Science Park is located in Waghor in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and covers an area of 0.77 square kilometres. In the past, this area was a small village and was the observation site of the total solar eclipse. On August 18, 1868, King Mongkut came to This place to see the eclipse with his royal children and his entourage, and also invited some foreigners to join him on the trip to witness this natural phenomenon, but he contracted malaria and died, and in 1993, the Ministry of Education announced the establishment of this place as a museum dedicated to honoring King Mongkut and includes a group of specialized scientific exhibitions in science, technology, astronomy, space and environment.
