The King Abdulaziz Historical Center is one of the most important cultural and civilizational landmarks in the capital, Riyadh. It was opened on the fifth of Shawwal 1419 AH, on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz. The High Commission for the Development of Riyadh has laid down the planning foundations, intellectual content, urban and architectural design for this cultural edifice and supervising the stages of work in it. The King Abdulaziz Historical Center was established to be a national landmark in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to be a cultural center and a bright civilized interface that reflects the history of the Arabian Peninsula, the eternal message of Islam, and introduces the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the foundations on which it was built, and the efforts made to build it. The King Abdulaziz Historical Center is located in the Al-Murabba neighborhood in the center of Riyadh. It occupies a land area of four hundred and forty thousand square meters.
