Information about Khirbat Bal'ame
At the northwest entrance to the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank is this historical archaeological site that dates back to the Bronze Age. It includes the mention of this ruin in the Bible in the name of Ablaim, and it was also mentioned in ancient Egyptian documents. The most characteristic feature of this area is that it contains a tunnel dating back to the Early Bronze Age from 3000 BC, and it was a safe passage for the inhabitants of the Iron Age, and there are a number of pottery pieces dating back to the Bronze, Iron, Persian, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Umayyad periods. It was rehabilitated in 2005 to be a prominent and important tourist site in Palestine.
