The Kfarmatta factory is a place that was used to produce raw natural silk in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and only ruins and some walls and columns remain from this factory. The landmark is considered one of the most important tourist attractions in the Mount Lebanon region, because the building's architecture is majestic, and because it witnessed the most important period in Lebanon's history, when the economy was booming and the markets were booming. It is not preferable to enter the building because it is dilapidated and may fall at any moment, but visitors come to explore it from the outside.
