Kayakoy is one of the must-visit places in Fethiye, here in this village the Greeks lived in the area dating back to 5000 years ago, until the period of population exchange. Although the Turks settled here with this transformation, they could not stay for long. Because of the great earthquake that occurred in 1957 AD, the village became uninhabitable. Today, the village is almost an open-air museum, a quiet area suitable for lovers of history and archeology to learn about ancient cultures.
