Arenberg Castle was built from the beginning of the 16th century in the Renaissance style, and then extensively renovated in the Neo-Gothic style in the 19th century. It was home to the Croy family, and then the Arenberg family, until World War I. Nowadays, the castle is used by the Faculty of Engineering Sciences of the University of Louvain, surrounded by Arenberg Park along with several university buildings and bustle of students and researchers. It is a must visit place in Louvain.
