The Kaohsiung Mosque, which has a Middle Eastern character among Kaohsiung Asian buildings, is the second mosque to be built in Taiwan. The mosque’s facilities include prayer areas, ablutions, an Islamic culture exhibition hall, an Arabic language center, a reception area for visitors, a youth center, and a library. A number of halal restaurants are spread next to the mosque, serving different types of food.
