Information about Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is located in the center of Berlin. The original church was built between 1891 and 1895 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. During World War II, the church was burned down after it was hit by an enemy bomb, and the church's broken western tower was still standing. In 1961, a new church, consisting of 4 buildings, was built around the remains of the old church. Pictures of the original church can be found in the remaining western tower along with some original mosaics.
