This mosque was built in 1878, on circular arches, which connect the two narrowest points of the beach in the village of Akassasu, near the center of the old bazaar. The most distinctive feature of this mosque is that it preserves its originality to a large extent, with its wooden minaret, its white color, and its red tiled roof. The lower floor of the two-storey building, adjacent to the north facade, is used as a café, and the upper floor is used as a school.
